Our vision is to support and build on the important role grassroots efforts play, empowering residents to give back and make a real difference in their local communities. As we look to the future, we're shifting from just helping people connect to encouraging more active involvement in their neighbourhoods. We've made great strides in bringing residents together in community spaces, but that's only the start.

Neighbourhood Gathering

Friendzone’s signature neighbourhood gathering seeks to ignite meaningful friendships and strengthen community bonds through relatable conversations on topics such as adulting, success, and relationships.

  • Participants will form new friendships, inspiring greater involvement in neighbourhood life, whether through mutual support or organising their own gatherings. They will also join their neighbourhood Telegram group to stay connected and plan future activities.

Community Activation Workshop

This workshop is recommended as a follow up to the neighbourhood gathering. The workshop aims to help youths see their neighbourhoods as communities where they can actively contribute. It empowers neighbours to identify their unique strengths and those of their neighbours, equipping them with practical skills to foster connections and organise community activities.

  • By the end of the session, participants will feel confident and motivated to take immediate steps toward active community participation (e.g. organise and share their first “jio” or community outing via the neighbourhood chat).

Edusave Engagement

An alternative way to engage and attract youths to collect their Edusave Award. Youths who live in the same neighbourhood have the opportunities to form meaningful friendships over meaningful conversation; and connect with Grassroots Advisers in a personal way.
