We design conversations that connect.
Friendzone builds friendships and social capital through thoughtfully designed events, workshops, and content. We create the conditions for meaningful connection: warm spaces, small groups, facilitated conversations.
We’re reclaiming the word to mean something simple: building spaces where friendships can form — across the different zones of life.
Why Friendzone?
What We Do
We host opportunities for people to connect around various topics and identities, forming social connections that bring perspective across life’s transitions.
events (b2c)
Through Friendship School, we equip young adults with practical knowledge, skills, and attitudes to navigate their social life — including topics like friendship conflict and networking.
Workshops (skills-building)
Focus groups & community engagement (B2B)
We convene and facilitate conversations that help organisations gather insights from specific communities and demographics.
Friendzone started in 2018 with a question many young adults ask after graduation: where do friendships go when life gets busy, and everyone moves into different chapters?
For its founders, Grace, Tham, and Valencia, friendship used to be woven into everyday life on campus. Shared spaces and repeated encounters created natural moments to talk, show up for one another, and feel part of a community.
After graduation, that rhythm fell away. Moving home, they realised they barely knew anyone in their neighbourhood — and their social circles had quietly shrunk.
Our Story
Friendzone was founded to recreate the conditions that make connection more likely: warm, welcoming spaces, small circles of three to five, and guided conversations that help people go beyond surface-level chatter. Because connection rarely starts in a crowd, but it can begin when people feel safe enough to share and listen.
What began in neighbourhoods has since grown across different “zones of life” — from life stages and identities to shared interests — bringing people together around topics that matter to them.
After hosting 500+ events and engaging 15,000+ participants, the team observed that while many people want connection, but feel unsure how to start, sustain, or repair relationships.
That’s why in 2025, Friendzone launched Friendship School: offering workshops and content that build the practical skills and confidence to navigate friendships in real life.
Friendzone’s journey is still unfolding — and we invite you to come alongside us to build community, one conversation at a time.
