10 Feelings of Friendzone Online

10 feelings of friendzone online

1. Curious about the Initiative

Maybe it’s the wordplay that piques your curiosity or may you’re feeling a little bored.

But here’s an unusual event that’s new - meeting new people online in the midst of our safe-distancing pandemic.

The bio resonates - it DOES get harder to meet people as you age. And, our social circles do indeed shrink. It sounds interesting and you want to find out more.

2. Skeptical of Meeting New People

Unless you’re a regular social butterfly, you’re probably a little skeptical about meeting new people. You contemplate whether or not to sign up and (hopefully) go for it anyway.

3. Doubtful of How Things Are Going to Turn Out

Aside from perhaps feeling shy and awkward, you might be questioning if Friendzone can actually pull off something like this? You’re probably wondering how the session will be conducted, who you’ll meet, and how the conversations will turn out, etc.

4. Awkward When You See a Bunch of New Faces

Awkwardness needs no explanation, and you’ve probably felt this when you enter a room (or, in this case, a Zoom room) with people you don’t know.

5. Excited as You Get to Know People in the Room

As everyone’s filling in their details on the digital asset board, you’re getting a clearer idea of the people in the room and starting to see them as more than just faces on the screen - they’re probably people with their own unique hobbies, interests and passions, just like yourself! You start to feel excited for the conversations to come.

6. Relieved That Things Are Coming Together

After introducing yourself to everyone and listening to the facilitator, you’re now in your own breakout room. As conversations start to take place, the ice breaks and the initial anxiety begins to fade away.

7. Comfortable With Your Group and Conversations

Conversations in your breakout room are going well and you’re finding things in common with the people you’ve just met! You’re actively sharing your own experiences and listening to what others have to say - it’s going well!

8. Glad That You Decided to Spend Your Time With Us

The session comes to an end but you feel like the conversations have only just begun! Hopefully, you’re pleasantly surprised by the interactions you’ve had and the conversations you’ve engaged in! You exchange numbers or social media handles to stay in touch with the people you’ve clicked with. You make plans to meet offline.

9. Satisfied With Your Experience

You think of the new friends you’ve made and the conversations you’ve had, and you feel great about having signed up and tried something new!

10. Thrilled for Future Friendzone Online Opportunities!
