Looking Back on Our First Quarter of 2021
It’s the end of the first quarter of 2021! What better time to look back on the FZ Online events we’ve held so far this year?
January
To kickstart the year, we hosted a series of sessions around the theme of “adulting”!

FZ Online Open Session
With young adults in Choa Chu Kang, Sengkang, and Jurong West, as well as those who attended our first open session of the year, we delved into topics such as investments, moving to a place of one’s own, and landing that dream job. We witnessed meaningful exchanges between people at various stages of life, as well as neighbours getting to know each other for the first time. One group of six even went on to have a durian party right after the event!
February
In the following month, we concluded our second round of FZ Online sessions, this time focusing on lessons learnt in 2020 - a year that was, no doubt, a game changer for many of us.

FZ Online Bukit Batok
FZ Online Newton & Novena
Neighbours from Punggol, Bukit Batok, and Newton & Novena gathered online to discuss the past year. Topics such as adjusting to work-from-home/home-based learning, staying healthy amidst the global pandemic, and opinions on social issues came up during conversations. From tips for staying connected with friends during lockdown to new perspectives gained, participants shared their thoughts, feelings and reflections from the year that just passed!
March
Finally, we held our monthly open session on 12 March!
FZ Online Open Session
Participants from across Singapore came together to discuss a whole range of topics pertaining to their lives.
Natalie, an undergraduate currently taking a gap semester and interning at a charity, had this to say about the event.
“[We talked about] how to live your life as best as you can - without comparison and by beautifully creating your own definitions of success,” she noted. “It was such a chill time! I enjoyed hearing from others and being heard in return. I think it’s always enjoyable to get different perspectives.”
A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the sessions in the first quarter! We hope that you had a meaningful time getting to know new people and engaging in thoughtful conversations with one another.
